Allows brokers to offer rebates to consumers |
In March 2007, new minimum services bills (H.B. 4416 and 4417) were proposed in the Michigan House of Representatives. Unlike their predecessors, these bills would allow consumers to waive services they do not wish to purchase, with the exception of receiving detailed closing statements. The bills were passed into law on April 9, 2008 and became Public Acts 90-08 and 91-08, respectively.
Consumers can:
- Search for a Flat fee MLS broker in Michigan and Go FSBO!
- Wipe out the listing brokerage commission and save thousands.
- Stay in control by eliminating certain contractual risks that are present when using a full service real estate broker.
- Deal directly with a licensed Michigan broker. Fees vary by State, County, and Local Broker.
- MLS Listings are updated in real time and are available for viewing on www.realtor.com and your local MLS 24/7.
Michigan Flat fee MLS is a term used to describe a practice in Michigan in which realtors place pertinent information about a Michigan property for sale into the database of a Michigan local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for a set fee or dollar amount as opposed to a commission based on the contract selling price of the property.
